- May 5 - Cy Young of the Boston Pilgrims pitched a perfect game against the Philadelphia Athletics, the second no-hitter of his career.
- August 10 - Jack Chesbro's streak of 30 complete games ended when he was knocked out by the White Sox.
- August 17 - Jesse Tannehill pitched a no-hitter for Boston over the White Sox.
- October 7 - Jack Chesbro of the Highlanders beat Boston 3-2 for his 41st win. He became the first pitcher to lead both leagues in winning percentage.
- October 7 - For the first time in major league history, a batter hit a home run off his brother. George Stovall of *Cleveland hit the homer off his older brother Jesse Stovall.
The 1904 World Series was cancelled when New York Giants owner, John T. Brush, refused to play Boston.[1]
